Jeffrey H. Greger
Of Counsel
Mr. Greger serves as Of Counsel for the Firm and specializes in the area of trademark law and unfair competition. His practice is concentrated on trademark prosecution, both domestic and international, rendering registrability and use clearance opinions, as well as managing litigation matters. Mr. Greger's experience includes assisting clients in trademark Oppositions and Cancellations with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Greger is a member of INTA with longstanding international contacts supporting his international trademark practice.
Mr. Greger has substantial internet domain name dispute experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in domain name arbitration proceedings under UDRP and ICANN procedures through WIPO and the National Arbitration Forum. In addition to assisting clients in unfair competition litigation, Mr. Greger also assists with licensing and related business counsel. Mr. Greger developed significant business experience as an entrepreneur in commercial glazing contracting prior to working as an intellectual property paralegal and becoming an attorney.
Mr. Greger has significant lead counsel experience in U.S. Federal Court actions for trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition as well as employment law. Mr. Greger has favorably settled scores of disputed trademark matters and obtained trademark injunctions in unsettled matters. He also obtained a favorable en banc remand at the Fourth Circuit setting new precedent in an employment dispute. In addition Mr. Greger has been lead counsel in numerous trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings representing Applicants, Opposers, Petitioners and Respondents.
Mr. Greger graduated from the New York State University at Oneonta (B.A., psychology), and the Franklin Pierce Law Center (J.D. 1997). Mr. Greger has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Franklin Pierce Law Center teaching U.S. Trademark Inter Partes Practice. Mr. Greger was admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1997. Additional admissions include the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Ninth Federal Circuits, the Eastern District of Virginia, and U.S. District Courts in California, Nevada, Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
