Mr. Kanesaka specializes in the mechanical field, but is also skilled in the chemical and electrical fields. He has extensive working experience in patent prosecution in the United States and is intimately knowledgeable about the differences between Japanese and United States patent practices. He assists clients in obtaining patents in the United States while making use of his experience. He also handles European patent applications. Therefore, he is able to prepare and submit applications for U.S. and Europe at the same time.

Mr. Kanesaka graduated from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. He began his career in the patent field as a patent professional in Tokyo. In 1984, he became a registered patent agent in the United States and opened his own agency in 1989. In 1991, he published a book, “Handbook for U.S. Patent Application” in Japan.
