Trainees from foreign patent law firms and corporations are routinely hosted by the firm, some on a multi-year basis, to provide an extensive hands-on learning experience and grounding in United States Patent Laws and United States Patent and Trademark Office Practice, with an emphasis on patent procurement matters.

Available Positions

FOREIGN FILING SPECIALIST, Alexandria, VA
Minimum of 3+ years of foreign filing experience in a law firm is desired. Candidate must have complete knowledge of current Patent Cooperative Treaty’s (PCT) standards and regulations. Candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing PCT applications electronically; preparing correspondence for clients and foreign associates; and overseeing foreign filing docket. Knowledge of EFS, PCT-SAFE, PAIR, Microsoft Office Suite and billing software are a required. Excellent proofreading; editing skills; and attention to detail are a must. This is a busy office, candidate is expected to hit the ground running.
