Jay P. Beale is an Associate at Hauptman Ham LLP, where his practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical, chemical, and mechanical arts, with particular emphasis on semiconductor structures and manufacturing processes.
Mr. Beale has more than 24 years of experience in patent law, including serving in-house on patent teams for major semiconductor corporations and as outside counsel to some of the world’s largest multinational technology companies. His work has included patent portfolio management, application preparation and prosecution, patent validity and non-infringement opinions, and participation in high-stakes licensing negotiations with industry competitors and non-practicing entities (NPEs).
He has also delivered presentations to international clients on U.S. patent law and collaborated with them to design efficient procedures for invention harvesting and patenting.
