Thomas S. Auchterlonie serves as Of Counsel at Hauptman Ham LLP, bringing over 32 years of experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the electrical, software, internet, business methods, mechanical, and semiconductor arts. Prior to private practice, he spent more than three years as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he focused on sophisticated software-based vehicle control technologies, including engine control, power distribution, anti-lock braking, automatic transmissions, air-bag actuation, and vehicle guidance systems.
Mr. Auchterlonie has lectured internationally, conducting seminars in the United States, Korea, and Japan on U.S. application drafting and prosecution practices.
